Wabash is offering a new integrated cargo assurance solution designed to give shippers and carriers more visibility and control while freight is in transit.
Wabash Teams Physical Security With Digital Tech For Better Cargo Visibility
The patent-pending cargo solution integrates a digitally connected cargo door and an intelligent locking system with the TrailerHawk.AI technology platform.

TMC attendees explore Wabash's new cargo assurance platform.
Wabash
The system pairs a purpose-built trailer door and intelligent locking hardware with TrailerHawk.AI’s connected platform to deliver:
- Real-time cargo door visibility and alerts
- Secure, encrypted trailer-to-platform communication
- Proactive monitoring to reduce cargo loss and operational disruption
- Seamless integration into existing fleet operations
Wabash showed off the new solution at the Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting in Nashville as part of a booth designed to demonstrate how durable engineering and digital intelligence are transforming trailer lifecycle performance.
Next Generation Cargo Assurance
The patent-pending cargo solution integrates a digitally connected cargo door and an intelligent locking system with the TrailerHawk.AI technology platform.
Wabash last year acquired TrailerHawk.ai, which provides advanced cargo security and smart access management technologies.
By linking physical access control with real-time digital visibility, the new Wabash system allows fleets to monitor cargo access, detect potential security risks and maintain chain-of-custody throughout transit.
According to Wabash, this approach transforms cargo security from passive monitoring into active assurance by creating secure points of contact at the cargo door and enabling encrypted communication, in-transit monitoring, and proactive intervention.
The TrailerHawk.AI digital assurance and chain-of-custody workflows are in use today with carriers using the mobile application for inspections, verification and asset visibility. At TMC, Wabash offered demonstrations of the cargo door and lock, along with TrailerHawk.AI workflows.
What Else Wabash Showed at TMC
The centerpiece of the booth was a Wabash DuraPlate dry van trailer to highlight:
- DuraPlate composite panel construction for long-term durability
- AAR-rated galvanized kingpin package for corrosion resistance
- Galvanized components to extend service life
- Phillips rearview camera system
- Kinedyne J & K-Track cargo management systems
- Interior cargo cameras for loading visibility
- Advanced edge detection technology to improve operational awareness
Wabash also highlighted its growing suite of digital offerings designed to simplify specification, maintenance planning, and parts ordering, including:
- Spec It – digital trailer specification platform
- Track It – asset tracking and visibility tools
- Stock It – parts inventory management support
- PartsIQ – Wabash’s e-commerce platform for OEM-backed parts
